POST COVID COMPLICATIONS

Post covid complications are a worrying trend. Recovered Covid patients experience symptoms several weeks after recovery. The doctor says some symptoms could cause long-term issues. The gradual shift to routine life is recommended after a covid infection. A complication of lung fibrosis seen in many patients he recovers from covid. Patients are complaining of breathlessness after short physical activities.

Long Covid symptoms can persist long after recovery. These symptoms should be medically addressed to ensure restoration of complete health.

● Shortness of breath

● Dizziness

● Joint pain

● The reappearance of fever.

● Breathing problem

● Fatigue

● Chest pain

● Difficulty in swallowing.

Apart from these, the survivors of the second wave of Covid-19 infection experience lung issues, renal malfunction and fungal infection.

Older people and people with pre-existing medical complications (diabetes, hypertension, etc.) are more susceptible to experience these lingering symptoms. However, it does not mean that young people are not affected by them.

It is advised that those who experience these symptoms should get in touch with their doctors urgently.

• Pay Proper Attention to Warning Signs

POST RECOVERY DIET

• Eat small frequent meals.

• Eat small frequent meals.

• Spread your calorie intake through the day, your body will utilize it better.

• Make snacks matter by choosing proteins like a piece of paneer, or an egg along with a fruit

• Have your medication after your meals so that you do not drink too much water and fill up your stomach.

• You need good hydration, drink water but also use fluids to nourish you, so milk, juices chaas, smoothies would be a good idea.

• Get more in less, choose energy-rich foods like a peanut butter sandwich, a parantha instead of chapatti, Nuts and seeds are also calorie-dense.

• Increase your intake of healthy oils and fats. They are concentrated sources of energy. Add some olive oil to a fruit salad, add peanuts to your dahi, add some tadka to your rice. Once you regain your strength, you can go back to the normal added fat recommended.
