Letroz 2.5 mg Tablet is used as the first-line therapy for women suffering from breast cancer (early or advanced stage), whose tumors are hormone receptor-positive. It has an active ingredient of letrozole which inhibits estrogen production by blocking the enzyme aromatase in all tissues to the extent where there is total estrogen deprivation. It can be used as an adjunct as a standard treatment for postmenopausal women with early stages of breast cancer. Else, it can be used for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive or unknown advanced variation or type of breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
