What is it?
Thrombocytopenia is a condition in which the number of platelets in a person's blood decreases. Platelets (thrombocytes) are colorless blood cells that help blood clot. Platelets stop bleeding by clumping together and blocking blood vessel injuries. This condition can occur as a result of a bone marrow disorder such as leukemia or an immune system problem. It can also be a side effect of taking certain medications. Both children and adults can be affected by thrombocytopenia. Revolade 50 mg is a medicine used to treat primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a disease in which the patient's immune system destroys platelets (components of the blood that help to clot). Patients with ITP have a low number of platelets in the blood (thrombocytopenia) and are at risk of bleeding. But it has not yet been shown to be safe for children.
When to use this?
When this condition occurs in adults who have a low platelet count and chronic (idiopathic) immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), they may use Revolade 50 mg tablets. It is also used to treat thrombocytopenia with hepatitis C virus infection. Adult patients with low blood pressure due to severe aplastic anemia (SAA) can also be treated with Revolade 50mg Tablet. Revolade 50mg Tablet is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist. Therefore, Revolade 50 mg tablets, a thrombopoietin receptor agonist, are used to treat thrombocytopenia in adult patients with low platelet counts who have chronic (idiopathic) immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).
